Although he was born in Russia, DJ Boris stole the hearts of New York City in the 90s and has been playing all over the world ever since. He has made appearances in cities like Miami, South America, Korea, Japan, Ibiza and this weekend he is set to make his return to Atlanta. Settle back and settle into the eighth installment of [BULLETCAST].
Can you tell us about this mix and how you went about creating it?
I created the mix in my studio as I like to do with all my mixes, so I can tweak and have it done right.
You are scheduled to play in Atlanta this Friday. Have you ever played here before?
I've been playing in Atlanta for many years. Although, it's been some time since I've been back. I'm super excited to play at DJ Pierre's Club.
This weekend is also Pride weekend in Atlanta, one of the largest gay and lesbian meccas in the U.S. How do you feel about the advances we've made with gay rights as a country over the last year?
I've played at many gay and lesbian events in the past. Pride is all over the country and it's always fun to play to that audience because they are simply there to dance and have fun. I have many gay friends so I have always been in favor of equal rights for the gay community. The fact that it's happening, I'm all for it.
Tell us about your recent and upcoming projects.
Yeah, I'm always working on new projects. I recently completed a remix for Pig & Dan (check out our review of their show in Atlanta), track for Terminal M, EP for Tronic, single for Toolroom, and of course some new releases coming out on my label, Transmit Recordings. Be sure to look our for them!
What can your fans expect to see at the show this weekend?
I hope to bring the energy and vibe to Atlanta the my fans are expecting and I can't wait to do it!
