[Interview] Com Truise Talks Life Changes and New Foundations

After his recent show at Terminal West, I got to sit down with Com Truise and discuss his production process, personal perceptions, and possible future plans. He opened up about wrapping up the latest chapter in his extended personal and professional story. He’s questioning his faith and searching for his next narrative. A self-professed lover of comics and conspiracy theories, he doesn’t seem to be seeking answers as much as just trying to enjoy the natural arc of life’s story. He claims to be unable to write lyrics, but his music is known by his fans for evoking clear emotions and mental images.

If you aren’t familiar with his music, do yourself a favor and go back to the start. Settle in with some headphones and dig up some fan blog posts to really enjoy the subtextual narrative that undergirds his run of LPs on the label Ghostly International. It loosely follows an astronaut who falls in love with an alien and follows their escape from an oppressive society that shuns them. I very much enjoyed talking with Seth, and hope you get to know him a little better by eavesdropping on our conversation.
