Hello Graduates! Time To Start "Adulting"

Hello, graduates! It’s time to be an adult. As you prepare to walk across the stage, shake hands, pose for pictures and wave to your family and friends as they cheer you on from the stands, just know that this is the exact moment when life becomes reality. As an adult myself, I'm still figuring out what that means, but here’s what I've gathered.

You have to pay bills and pay them on time. Your credit score is not a fictitious number. It’s a three-digit score that tells creditors, lenders, and now some employers how responsible you are with money. If you’re lucky, you can live off the grid and pay everything with cash.

Having a car loan is the worst idea. Chances are you can find a great deal on a used car if you do your research thoroughly. Student debt. Gotta pay that plaque back. Having a kid doesn’t automatically give you a free pass to adulthood.

You will lose friends and gain friends, but you’ll realize how delicate and precious those relationships are. You will start projects and find out what you’re good at and what you need to leave behind. But the upside is, you can do what you want!

Bassnectar's track "Noise" (feat. Donnis) will help you look forward to what's in front of you and leave the past behind. You have to stay out late, come home when the world is waking up, and hit the snooze seven times.

Listen to who you are, and understand that the universe wants to work in your favor. "Sing it for the world" and the world will listen. Dance like everyone is watching because you are a "champion, my friend."

Congratulations for making it this far! Your time is just beginning. Now, hit play because "All I Do Is Win" kicks off this playlist of greatness. In the words of my old psychology professor, "Go forth and be awesome!"
